Wonder how the press got the story.
People start to wonder what happened when 30 streets and the traffic lights on a crossing in a national highway are out of power for an hour...
a newspaper reports that in bornem, belgium, a jw volunteer was critically injured after being electrocuted:.
bornem - a man was electrocuted while performing maintenance on a high voltage installation in the assembly hall of jw in bornem friday afternoon.
the man was critically injured.. possibly the man, who is a volunteer with the jw, tried to clean the installation with a vacuum cleaner.

A newspaper reports that in Bornem, Belgium, a JW volunteer was critically injured after being electrocuted:
BORNEM - A man was electrocuted while performing maintenance on a high voltage installation in the assembly hall of JW in Bornem Friday afternoon. The man was critically injured.
Possibly the man, who is a volunteer with the JW, tried to clean the installation with a vacuum cleaner. While doing that he received a severe electrical shock. The victim was transported to a hospital in Sint-Niklaas.
Because of the incident the power in the neighbourhood went down as well. Large areas of Hingene and Bornem had no power for almost an hour.
I hope the guy will be ok....but high voltage shocks and the severe burns that come with them aren't very good for one's health :-(
return of the dub (plus surprise guest)dealing with just one frisky, bright-eyed jehovah’s witness is a handful.one on one is manageable.
two jw’s is more like juggling chainsaws or french kissing alligators.i had a return visit the other day and now, the jw was returning the 2nd time, but with another dub.what would my strategy be?
that’s how the day was spent.
I suspect some future day - be it five days, five months or five years from now - a new user called TeaBag will introduce himself here.
He'll relate how a gentle old man he met when out in 'service' planted the first seeds that ultimately helped him think.
Earl's grey matter started functioning then and there...
Anybody else concerned about Poopie's wellbeing?
This is the first time a post of him made any sense ....must be something wrong
august 31, 2017 to all bodies of elders re: procedure for handling certain cases of wrongdoing.
I wonder what Biblical basis they have for this?
Did any king of Israel ever instruct the elders of the cities that if one of the servants of the king 'sinned' back at home, they shouldn't judge him in the city gates, but leave the king to handle it?
I guess this serves two reasons:
we all know the moment that a nice family chat is moving to the propaganda game.. sister in law saying that jw.org is the highest ranked website, cousing saying that the new hq is energy neutral, aunt stating that jw have the best education.... what can we say on these moments?.
that br splane just likes these new light ideas?.
that a jw.org video stated that jw use the name jehovah because people recognize this name?.
"no honey, daddy doesn't like this book.
do you have a nice book we can read?.
as far as i know my wife and i agree this book would be off-limits.
@jwundubbed,
I agree: those topics also often appear in fairy-tales and many Disney movies.
But we wouldn't read our little girl those stories yet either!
Nor do we allow her to see/hear the TV news - too much talk about death and violence going on there for 2 year olds.
Children at that age need to play and have fun; they needn't be bothered with mentioning death and violence every day!
here is the miracle wheat trial transcript..

@shepherdless,
Thanks for your clarification. I just read up on (some of) the differences between common and civil law. Never realized those!

So at my parent-in-law's home my 2 year old child presented me with a 'My Book With Bible Stories'.
"Will you read me this book daddy?"
No honey, daddy doesn't like this book. Do you have a nice book we can read?
As far as I know my wife and I agree this book would be off-limits. Apparently not.
So I'll have to bring this topic up once again, and I did a quick check on the stories to back my argument.
Well I knew it's a bad book, but I was surprised anyway.
Total number of stories wholly inappropriate for children: 91 out of 116, or 78%
Only 25 stories where nobody dies, is murdered, or raped.
FYI I have been quite generous while counting: each story is only counted once. A story that contains all of violence, rape, murder and genocide is counted in only 1 category.
The total number of occurrences of topics inappropriate for children is even higher!
Fuck me, this book is a big no-go for my baby girl!
if i'm tierd i fall asleep anywere so the meetings ect were no diffrent my wife would always try to wake me but im a deep sleeper.
karter .
Yup. That's why I always asked for any 'priviliges' to be scheduled during the afternoon session
